Neville Robertson Communications is a dynamic agency based in Dundee.

Neville Robertson was established in 2022 to provide unparalleled media and communications advice, insight and strategy to ambitious organisations who want to make the most of their potential. Together, we will help organisations flourish by working with them to communicate optimally with their staff, customers, stakeholders and the wider market.

We are proud ambassadors for the city of Dundee but with a keen ambition to play a leading part in the renaissance of the whole of Tayside, Fife and Perthshire. Our mission is to help create a vibrant, sustainable and progressive economy for the good of all.

Richard Neville.

Director

Richard is a journalist with extensive experience in the Scottish media. He has edited The Courier, The Press and Journal and Business a.m. and was most recently Head of News Brands at DC Thomson where he devised and oversaw their Apollo digital transformation programme.

This brought about wholesale change to create a more reader-focused model based on compelling content for digital and print in new data informed newsrooms using dynamic and innovative storytelling.

Richard is passionate about helping to drive change in Dundee and devised the hugely successful Courier Business Awards to help celebrate success across the region. Previously Richard was Editor of Business a.m., the critically acclaimed Scottish daily business and political newspaper. He has also been Deputy Editor of The Scotsman and worked as a reporter for The Daily Record and Edinburgh Evening News. He also spent several years as a newsroom executive with The Yorkshire Evening Press.

Richard is a board member of Creative Dundee and a member of the Fundraising Board of The Maggie’s Centre in Dundee.
Richard has worked in every city in Scotland but his firm favourite is Dundee where his wife Morag works and his two adult sons were educated.

Fiona Robertson.

Director

Fiona is a senior communications professional with experience working with large and complex corporations as well as start-ups and smaller charitable organisations.

Having worked for DC Thomson for a decade, latterly as Head of Strategic Communications and Corporate Affairs, Fiona brings skills and learnings from one of Scotland’s biggest private businesses. Throughout this time, Fiona developed a framework for communications and engagement to employees across the world. 

Fiona managed corporate and strategic communications to support business change and transformation including project communications for major acquisitions and restructures.

She has led high-profile PR campaigns for newspapers, magazines and a diverse group of companies, as well as securing and managing a royal visit.
Her previous roles include Media Relations Manager in London at the General Teaching Council for England and Press Officer at the University of St Andrews. Fiona’s early career included time as a Trainee Reporter for The Courier and Evening Telegraph to a Production Assistant for the BBC Proms in The Royal Albert Hall, and a presenter for hospital and student radio.

Educated and raised in Dundee, Fiona is delighted to have the opportunity to start a business in her home city at an exciting point in the city’s resurgence. With two small children (9 months and 3 years), Fiona is a passionate believer in the benefits of flexible working.
